Please see all pictures BEFORE BIDDING! We are selling this as acquired. It has not been washed or polished to maintain the integrity of the item. The items have been displayed on a shelf by the previous owner for a number of years. We are not experts, we describe the items to the best of our ability. If you have any questions please let us know in as much detail as possible so the we may further assist you. Item Details- This train has been tested and Does Run! It may need a professional tuneup or servicing. Please view our Video Statement on the trains movements and photos.- The video statement begins with the train being tested then moves into a photo montage, please watch the whole video statement. - Lionel Pre War "O" Gauge Train Set - 4 Trains, Transformer and Original Boxes - - Locomotive - 9-1/4" long, 2-3/4" wide and 4" tall. The locomotive runs forwards and backwards as intended. Gold colored emblems with "Lionel" & "No. 4 Bild -A- Loco" on them and are on both sides of the door. On the bottom is a bell and a plaque on the wheel housing that reads " "Lionel "O" Gauge" Bild -A- Loco Patents Pending Lionel Corporation N.Y.". There is a bulb light on the front that works. On one side is a lever to change the trains direction from forward to backward. The box has a shipping label on it. - Midget Toy Transformer -IMPORTANT - This transformer WAS NOT USED while testing the trains so it is UNCERTAIN as to whether or not it functions properly. Imprinted on the cover is "100 To 120V. 50 To 133 CY." On the metal plaque it reads in part "Midget Toy Transformer 75 Watts .... Jefferson Electric Company, Chicago". The lever moves as intended. The fabric covered cord is approximately 6' feet long. - Flaws for the Toy Transformer - Metal toning & wear, surface scratches, - some with color loss, light surface rust. No tears on the power cord. - Flaws for the locomotive - There are light scratches- some resulted in spotty paint loss, mainly on the roof and the red on the wheels. Metal toning including the gold colored railings, for the casings on the lights, wheels and the wheel housing. Light surface rust, the housing for the light is missing a few edges. An indent on the front part of the roof. - (2) Pullman Cars - 10-1/4" long (Not including the couplers), 2-3/4" wide, 4" tall. Labeled on both cars are "The Lionel Lines", "605" & "Pullman" in black lettering. On the bottom is a toned label that gives directions on applying machine oil to certain areas for lubrication. The green doors move. See photos for the printing on the box. - Flaws For both Pullman Cars - Most noted are surface scratches, dark markings on the roof, metal toning & wear, color loss/ fading on the train - steps, body. One of the steps is bent. The plastic for the windows show some separation from the body. Toning to the window frames. One door on the cars does not move or is stuck. - Observation Car - 10-1/4" long, 2-3/4" wide and 4" high. On the bottom is a toned label that gives directions on applying machine oil to certain areas for lubrication. The green doors move. In black lettering on both sides are "The Lionel Lines", "606" and "Observation". - Flaws on the Observation Car - Noted are,the light inside is not working, the bulb could be burnt out/or missing/ loose wiring is possible. surface scratches, dark markings on the roof, metal toning & wear, color loss/ fading on the train - steps, body. The plastic for the windows show some separation from the body on one side and the plastic for the other side is missing. Toning to the window frames. One door on the cars does not move or is stuck. - Train Boxes & Main Storage Box - All of the boxes show toning, wear seen as material loss including - separations on the seams and corners, the labeling on the boxes, torn off pieces of flaps (Some pieces are missing, some are still with the boxes), crease lines, tape, roughing to the edges.
